Identity Verification: Mandatory from 18 November 2025
From 18 November 2025
New directors and PSCs must verify before appointment or incorporation.
By Autumn 2026
All existing directors and PSCs must be verified.
Failure to comply will result in your inability to file your confirmation statement or other company filings, which may ultimately lead to the dissolution of your company. You may face penalties or restrictions, and your name may be annotated in the public register as unverified.
Why Verify Early?
- Avoid delays: Millions will need to verify in a short window; backlogs are expected.
- Correct errors: Mismatched records (like wrong DOB or address) will block verification.
